The Chilean film "Los perros" arrives this Friday at the Luzzy Ficcmoteca (24/10/2018)

The Ficcmoteca del Luzzy will screen the Chilean film "Los Perros" by director Marcela Said, winner of the 2017 prize for the best foreign film at the Festival, on Friday 26 at 20:00 in the Assembly Hall of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center of San Sebastián.

The film delves into the past of the dictatorship in this country and its imprint on the upper classes through the story of Mariana, 42, a woman belonging to the Chilean bourgeoisie, privileged and irritatingly capricious, who goes through life as if he did not find out anything and that he takes riding lessons with Juan, 60, a former colonel of Pinochet's army.

Their easy existence falters when one day they come looking for the colonel for his participation in crimes during the dictatorship.

The director Marcela Said tells that she left writing the script with the idea of talking about the civil complicity that was in dictatorship and that today is still valid in all those who, having relevant information of the time, prefer to be silent.

But the time ended up also questioning how to be a woman in society resulting from 20 years of dictatorship and close to many others of democracy with all the inheritance left by the regime
