Citizens today registered a motion to urge the competent authorities to begin as soon as possible the procedures of strategic environmental assessment for those areas of the Transitory Urban Regulations that are not within the assumptions of the new wording of Article 145 of the Law of the Land of the Region of Murcia, given in the Law of Business Acceleration.

The orange spokesman explained that the purpose of the transitory rules only allows the normal development of land that is already consolidated and it is specified that there will be no transformation that will have harmful effects for the environment, "the problem we still have with all those areas that do require a strategic environmental assessment, and therefore, are not linked to the transitory rules, for example, the pending expansion projects in the Valley of Escombreras that add up to 33 million euros ".
