Next, Castejón has requested the company of all the seniors who were disguised to inaugurate the fair.

On behalf of all of them, the queen of the elderly carnival, María Martínez, 98, has welcomed the audience with a few words.

In total there will be 49 stands and they have installed more than 20 companies that will participate this year.

All of them provide their services to these groups such as: day centers, home help companies, family respite, hearing centers, technical aids, social health services, neurorehabilitation centers or residences.

They have also gathered at this fair the elderly belonging to the 40 clubs of the municipality, as well as the Federation that includes them all.

The elders will show in their booths the popular traditions representing ancient crafts, such as bolillo or esparto, or making homemade soaps.

In addition, the Senior Clubs will also expose the taste of Cartagena's cuisine.

For their part, people with disabilities will also be represented in these stands, through 17 associations.

In the course of the event all kinds of activities will be performed: carnival performances, yoga, dance, live workshops, demonstrations of traditional crafts, performances of rondallas, intergenerational activities, and measurements of sugar, among others.
