The FICC projects Mucho Hijos, a Monkey and a Castle, for the World Day of Home Cinema (19/10/2018)

The FICC, International Film Festival of Cartagena, has scheduled for Friday, October 19, within the activities commemorating the World Day of Home Cinema, Home Movie Day, "Many Children, a Monkey and a Castle", the winning documentary 2017 Goya Award for Best Documentary, awarded that year also in the same category at the Karlovy Vary Festival, Hamptons International Film Festival, Feroz Awards and this year 2018 at the Platinum Prizes of Ibero-American Cinema.

It will be possible to see at 20.00 hours in the auditorium of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center.

"Many children, a monkey and a castle" narrates the dreams that Julita Salmerón dreamed of as a child, and all three have become reality.

When the youngest of his children finds out that his mother has lost the vertebra of his murdered great-grandmother, kept for three generations, the family undertakes a fun search among the most peculiar and strange objects that Julita has accumulated over the years. of his more than eighty years.

But what Julita is really about to find is the true meaning of life.

The screening of this documentary is part of the commemorative activities of the HOME MOVIE DAY, which is organized by the FICC with the purpose of making the local citizens aware of the importance of this type of material as part of the family memory, but also as a historical document and cultural heritage.
