We can hold the CARM and the City of Cartagena responsible for acting negligently with El Hondón and allowing Ercros to leave without assuming any environmental responsibility for the state of a soil contaminated by years of Potasas activity.
Now the question is who and how are they going to assume the cost of 80 million that it will cost to decontaminate El Hondón.
CTSSP believes that the boldness of the socialist mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, is unbelievable, for buying with money from the municipal coffers part of the lands of El Hondón that are contaminated, poisoned lands with which she wants to speculate, when what the municipal government is to demand decontamination by the responsible company, and not burden the pockets of Cartagena citizens decontamination of them.
