Cs will register in the Congress and in the Assembly a proposal to protect the location of the Commercial Court in Cartagena (04/10/2018)

- "It is unthinkable that this court does not reach Cartagena that has 30 percent of the business movement in the region, but as we know that both PSOE and PP have suffered a clear tendency to forget Cartagena in its political decisions, we are forced to tie that infrastructure "explained the spokesman of Cs Cartagena, Manuel Padín

Cartagena, Thursday, October 4.

Citizens will register in the Congress of Deputies, the Regional Assembly and the Plenary Session of the City of Cartagena an initiative to urge the Ministry of Justice to locate in Cartagena the third Mercantile Court established in the Autonomous Community.

According to the spokesman for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, "despite the fact that today the Minister of the Presidency, Pedro Rivera has publicly declared that he makes the claims of the professionals of Justice and Law in Cartagena his own, we already know how little is worth the word of the PP or the PSOE and that is why we believe it is fundamental to shield the location with the majority political support in national, regional and local instances ".

The orange spokesman has announced this legislative offensive after his meeting with the dean of the Cartagena Bar Association, Antonio Navarro Selfa.

"It is unthinkable that this court does not reach Cartagena that has 30 percent of the business movement in the region, but as we know that both PSOE and PP have suffered a clear tendency to forget Cartagena in its political decisions, we are forced to tie that infrastructure "explained Manuel Padín who recalled the case of Asturias where the third Mercantile Court was installed in Gijón, when the first two went to the provincial capital, Oviedo" and the same happened with Alicante and Elche, is to say, with these precedents, we do not wait for another decision that is not that Cartagena has its Court of Mercantile ".

In addition, Citizens is preparing a battery of measures to unblock the blockade for the implementation of the Family Court, and the arrival of an office of the Labor Inspection in Cartagena, the creation of the College of Social Graduates of Cartagena, and a delegation of the Commission for Free Legal Assistance, as the Cartagena Bar Association has been claiming for years.

"Let no one forget that a few months ago it was the PP that did not respond to the requirements of the City Council for the Ministry of Defense to cede the military facilities that are on Avenida Reina Victoria, the Navy Subsistence Factory, to the installation there of the City of Justice, and the one that did not offer to request the Ministry of Justice to intercede to take to Cartagena the Commercial Court, and the one that has delayed again and again the implementation of the necessary Court of Family ", said the orange training spokesman who says that" the PP has already shown that it is not a guarantor interlocutor to answer and resolve the most important lawsuits that Cartagena has, one of the municipalities with the greatest deficit in judicial infrastructure "

According to Manuel Padín, "we think a humiliating lack of respect, and an example of political cynicism and an insult to the intelligence that the cause of this situation, the PP, now says that the region and especially Cartagena is" infradotada, and far of the national average, both in terms of infrastructures and judicial units and endowments of judges, prosecutors and officials "

On the other hand, Manuel Padín recalled that in the ordinary plenary yesterday, Citizens started the commitment of the PSOE Government to convene the Justice Working Table in the coming days to clarify inter-ministerial negotiations for the final location of the City of the Justice of Cartagena, among other subjects.
