Culture programs the workshop "A house without walls, Poetry in dialogue with other arts", with Esther Ramón (02/10/2018)

The activity "A house without walls, poetry workshop in dialogue with other arts", which will direct the poet Esther Ramón, is organized by the Department of Culture and is part of the program of the Festival Deslinde 2018.

It is the first workshop to be published on the program of the third edition of the poetic festival Deslinde, which will be held between November 9 and 19.

The festival has this time with the collaboration of CaixaBank.

The workshop consists of two sessions, which will be held on Friday 16 - in the afternoon shift - and Saturday November 17 - morning shift - in the Youth Resource Center, located on Paseo Alfonso XIII, 53.

THE POETRY WORKSHOP

This workshop invites you to take a journey through the house without the walls of the arts through the poetic word, which will enter into dialogue with both the arts of space - photography and painting - and with the arts of time: cinema and music .

From a fully contemporary perspective, the transversality of the arts will be deepened, and in each session, we will discover complicities and affiliations, until we see that all of them have a place in the always open space of the poetic.

The assistants will investigate the miscegenation among the arts;

they will write paintings, listen to the inner voices of the images, adapt poems to cinematographic images and, in short, they will experience that art is a great house without limits or walls that discovers an immensely open space to which we all have access.

First session: The word and the image: poetry, photography, painting -16 November

Through various games of attention, attendees will venture to strip the gaze of adhesions (cultural, contextual, interpretative), contemplating various photographs until they reach imagination and emotion.

The photographer captures the image as a hunter who fires the bow, aware only of the movement of the prey.

In the same way, in that workshop you can capture poetry in the folds of the living, before writing it.

The relationship between poetry and painting will also be studied, poems written by painters will be analyzed, emphasizing the palette of words that mix and overlap their colors.

"The painting is a silent poem, the poem is a painting that speaks," they point out from the organization.

Second session: The word and time: poetry, music, cinema -17 November

In this second session we will listen to the rhythm (and silence) of poetry, and we will study how the music (syncopated, fluid, interrupted, interrupted) of the contemporary poem, without a fixed metric base, searches for and finds new sound spaces.

The participants will let their musical resources flow, through the word, and will attend to that point of encounter between poetry and music, observing closely the musical mechanisms of poetry and also writing through listening to different pieces of contemporary composers .

In the more narrative cinema, the poetic manifests itself at times to show altered states of consciousness, lysergic states, hypnotic or, more directly, dreams.

Although some directors open the spectrum and swim with fluidity in the spill, as is the case of the Russian filmmaker Andrei Tarkovski, who will study some examples.
