MC denounces that the governments "PPSOE" ostracize the patrimony of Cartagena (19/09/2018)

The cartagenerista formation will take a set of initiatives to the next Plenary to counteract the inaction of the local, regional and state executives

This morning, the spokesman of the MC Cartagena municipal group, José López, together with the Cartagena councilor Ricardo Segado and the coordinator of Heritage of training, María Dolores Ruiz, has appeared, in the press room of the Palace Hall, to denounce the non-existent management in patrimonial matters and the lack of interest of the governments of the PP and the PSOE.

This lack of interest becomes even more evident after the entry of MC into the local government in 2015, when it revolutionized the management and future plans for the Cartagena Heritage, achieving, among other achievements, the restoration of the Monastery of San Ginés de la Jara , the impulse to the excavation of the Roman Amphitheater or the restoration projects of windmills.

Thus, after the betrayal planned by Castejón, expelling MC from the Government in January 2018, "almost ten months of absolute paralysis have elapsed and back to the old policies of the PPSOE, leaving Cartagena and its Heritage to its fate, fundamental part of the economic and tourist future of the municipality, the region and the entire region, "said Lopez, who has pointed to the municipal and regional elections of May 2019 as a solution to these evils.

Castejón, worried about keeping her armchair

The Cartagena spokesman explained that the mayor has shown that "his only occupation is to fight with the factions of his party that do not support him and continue to place armchairs with glue to support his acolytes," lamenting "the absolute

lack of interest and paralysis that is showing with the historical and archaeological heritage of Cartagena ".

José López has denounced that "what should be a fundamental strategic area for this city has become the last of the priorities of the administrations, of all of them, the local, regional and central, because all depend on those who send up, in Murcia and in Madrid, among them they manage and fix them to continue holding back the future of our city. "

In this line, has listed the disastrous management of the local government of the PSOE in matters of heritage: "the works of the amphitheater are stopped, like those of the Monastery of San Ginés de la Jara, any action on the Central Cinema is also stopped , as happens with the solar annex to MURAM and a Children's House that falls apart, and on advances in the Cathedral of Cartagena, they are not even expected. "

Desolating scenario for Cartagena

This situation leaves Cartagena "a desolate scenario", in the words of the mayor of MC.

Also, Lopez recalled that MC came to the Government to promote "in a determined way" the policies in archaeological heritage, after "twenty years of Popular Party, whose only project was to plunder the pockets of citizens."

With the expulsion of MC from the municipal government, he said, "they banished a serious and respectful policy, ending outside it to defend legality, instead, now again enjoy the binomial PPSOE in heritage."

As an example, he has mentioned the recent visit of Minister Ábalos to the Region, leaving two million for the San Esteban deposit and zero euros for Cartagena.

José López concluded by stating that "the solution will come in May 2019, with MC captaining this City Council for four years, with a serious and loyal project with the citizens we represent."

Possible crime of expoliation by omission on the part of the administrations

Next, María Dolores Ruiz, a well-known activist in defense of the heritage of Cartagena and Comarca, took the floor and explained the status of the files that she has promoted from the different associations in which

militates or has militated as the Association of Friends of the Monastery, ADEPA, DAPHNE, Monte Miral and the Virgen de la Caridad Platform.

Among the aforementioned records are the Monastery of San Ginés de la Jara, the hermitages of Monte Miral, Villa Calamari and the Casa del Tío Lobo, the battery Fajardo, the Despeñaperros castle, the windmills, the plan of walls, solar annex to the MURAM, the Central Cinema and the Cathedral.

Some of these procedures, explained Ruiz, are currently pending the opinion of the Ombudsman, while MC is studying the possibility of taking these matters to the Office of the Prosecutor before a possible crime of expoliation by omission of the different administrations.

MC will ensure that all projects initiated during his Government are resumed

For his part, Ricardo Segado, as mayor responsible for Patrimony of the Municipal Group MC Cartagena, has assured that "we will continue to monitor and pressure these governments to take up each and every one of the projects that we started and have been frustrated by the incapacity or for the abandonment of 'Caostejón', López Miras and Pedro Sánchez. "

It is worth remembering that in recent days a series of news and announcements have been made public about different patrimonial elements of the municipality, such as the arrangement of the façade of the church of Santa María de Gracia.

In this sense, Segado has expressed doubts about the works ending before the start of the next Holy Week.

"For this reason, we have requested access to the file with all the documentation on this matter."

In the same way, the person in charge of Patrimony of MC has regretted the lack of information on the part of the governments of PP and PSOE towards the citizens, "who only know the announcement of press, that habitually remains in that, in sale of smoke, But nothing else, the people of Cartagena deserve to know what is going to be done, when and how. "

Another of the projects recently announced by the CARM is the provision of a forty thousand euro item for the Master Plan of the Santa María la Mayor Cathedral.

"It is the least curious that these announcements are given to a few

months of the elections, "said the mayor, while underlining the fact that all of them are announced by the popular candidate, Noelia Arroyo.

Questions and initiatives of MC for the next Plenary

Continuing with its control work, and with the aim of progressing in the recovery of assets, lethargic by socialists and the popular, MC will present a series of initiatives and questions at the next municipal plenary session.

Specifically, the training Cartagena question about its amendments to the 2018 Budget for the Master Plan for recovery of the Cathedral and the Chapel of the Council, a project approved by Cartagena in the Participatory Budgeting.

Also on the Cathedral, will be interested, once again, by the breach of the Bishopric of its obligation to open to the public the last four working days of each month.

On the other hand, MC will deal with other issues such as the break in the works in San Ginés de la Jara or the return of Ara Pacis or Altar de la Salud to be exposed, permanently, in Cartagena.

In the same way, Ricardo Segado has influenced the delay of two years "in the strategic project of the Amphitheater, driven by MC".

Thus, the lack of funding and interest from Murcia, which neither processes nor finances, make this deposit remain underground, "expecting the fair and dignified treatment that they give others like San Esteban."

Finally, Segado has highlighted the ghost projects of Arroyo, such as the Central Cinema, the solar annex to the MURAM or the House of the Child, "that sleep the dream of the just from the beginning of the legislature", at the time that has highlighted the recently known news of the transfer of the calls MUSAS of the Roman Forum, "paintings that go to Madrid and Murcia for an itinerant exhibition without having been able to enjoy them before in Cartagena".
