Cartagena will be black again from September 4 to 8 (31/08/2018)

Cartagena will be imbued with black literature, police and mystery in the fourth edition of Cartagena Negra, an event to be held from 4 to 8 September and organized by the City of Cartagena through the Department of Culture.

The presentation of these IV Days of Black Literature, Police and Mystery, has been carried out by the mayor of the Culture area, David Martínez Noguera, who has been accompanied by the content director of Cartagena Negra, Francisco Marín.

On Tuesday, September 4, the fourth edition of Cartagena Negra will begin with the round table Cartagena Postmortem, moderated by Ana Ballabriga, where the role of Cartagena in novels of the genre will be analyzed, as pointed out by Councilman David Martínez.

Another of the highlights will take place the same day with the visit of Lorenzo Silva, who will celebrate in Cartagena Negra the 20th anniversary of two of his most emblematic characters, Bevilacqua and Chamorro, and will present his new novel Far from the Heart.

Every day at 9:00 pm the Cañas Negras will be held at Mister Witt Cafeteria, where attendees can experience meetings with the visiting authors and obtain their signed copies.

On Wednesday, September 5, the day will begin with the meeting with the author David Jiménez, El Tito;

while at 7 pm it will be the turn of the round table Tinta y Sangre, moderated by Manuel Marlasca;

and at 10 pm, the Black Monologue will be held by Victor Mirete.

On Thursday, September 6, they will come to the meetings with the reading clubs Susana Martín Gijón and Estela Chocarro;

while at 9 o'clock the round table Promesas Negras will take place with the godmothers Estela Chocarro, Graziella Moreno and Susana Martín;

and the sponsored Daniel Fopiani, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and Camino Díaz.

This day at 10 pm Almudena Martínez will be at Mister Witt Café with his Black Monologue.

On Friday September 7 will be the meeting with Berna Gonzalez Harbor, as well as Ana Ballabriga and David Zaplana.

At 7:00 PM the moderator Pedro Martí will arrive at the round table Voces Oscuras and at 10:30 p.m. there will be a reading and the contest of black micro-stories "Leave your hat here".

The last day, Saturday, September 8, will come Jerónimo Tristante and at 18:30 the prize of the short film contest Negros will be awarded with the screening of the winning short film.

The last round table will be moderated by Antonio Parra under the title Sexual Predators and at 9:00 pm the conference will be closed and the II Black Cartagena Novel Prize will be handed out.
