Stage number 6 of the cycling tour to Spain will pass through Cartagena next Thursday, August 30, with an itinerary that will run through some of the main roads of the municipality.
The coastal town of Isla Plana will be the entrance gate of the corridors to the Cartagena territory.
The cyclists will complete that day a predominantly flat route of 155.7 kilometers between the Almerian town of Huércal-Overa and San Javier, in the Region of Murcia.
It is expected that the logistics caravans of the Tour will pass through Isla Plana at 2:47 pm, but it will not be an hour and 20 minutes later, around four in the afternoon when the first cyclists pass in the direction of the cedacero stop and the Torre de Nicolás Pérez, from where they will head towards Canteras, entering Cartagena through Sebastián Feringán street towards Jorge Juan, Ronda Ciudad de la Unión, Esparta, Capitanes Ripoll and Plaza de las Puertas de San José;
leaving from the urban helmet by the highway of the Union, towards Vista Alegre and the Union.
From there to El Algar, which will be the last Cartagena town that will cross and where the caravan is scheduled to arrive around 3:52 pm and the cyclists around 5:00 pm.

It is an event of national and international level, which has a great impact on road traffic and will affect various urban and interurban roads, so the Local Police of Cartagena has organized a device to ensure road safety during development of the test on its way through the urban sections, corresponding the interurban to the Traffic Civil Guard.
For this reason from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. streets San Sebastian, Jorge Juan, Ronda City of Union, Sparta, Captains Ripoll and N332 in the direction of La Union will be cut off to traffic to facilitate the performance of the sporting event .
It will also happen in all affected interurban sections, just before the arrival of the caravan of the return and until the passage of the cyclists.
The Local Police advises drivers to anticipate their movements and extreme caution, always respecting the rules of the road and the indications of the agents.
