Launch of almonds and concentration of classic vehicles this weekend in the Tower of Nicolás Pérez (17/08/2018)

The neighbors of the Torre de Nicolás Pérez celebrate from August 17 to 19 their patron saint festivities in honor of San Nicolás, a weekend in which there will be dances, a meeting of classic vehicles and, of course, a contest to launch almonds, a program organized by the neighborhood association of the town of Cartagena with the collaboration of the City Council and the Municipal Board of Perín.

On Friday, August 17, the festivities will be opened with a Gran Baile enlivened by the Minerva group, at 10.30 pm, followed by the proclamation, at 11.30 pm, by the official chroniclers of Cartagena, José Sánchez Conesa and Francisco José Franco Fernández.

For Saturday, August 18, fans of the world of motor have an appointment from 10 o'clock in the morning, at the Grand Meeting of Classic Vehicles, cars and motorcycles manufactured at most in the year 1980, with prizes to the oldest in each modality.

At 12.00 it is the turn of the II Contest of Launch of Almonds to the Capazo, with prizes for the winners in the different categories.

The afternoon will be dedicated to the patron saint of the town, San Nicolás, first with the transfer at 7:00 p.m., from its enclave to the Festero de la Vieja Hacienda, for the celebration, at 7:30 p.m. Misa, which will have the Choir of the Conception of Cartagena, and then leave in procession at the foot of Peñas Blancas.

At 22:30 there will be a great dance entertained by the Nerea group and the tasting of Russian salad.

The party will continue until Sunday, August 19, at dawn with the farewell and end of parties.
