Music and improvised poetry liven up the first day of Trovalia (03/08/2018)

The Plaza del Ayuntamiento witnessed last Thursday, August 2, the inauguration of the fifteenth edition of Trovalia, the Improvised Poetry Festival, which takes place in Cartagena from August 2 to 4 and which this year has as guest countries to Cuba , Panama, Puerto Rico and Colombia;

and to the Canary Islands as a national guest.

At the opening of the festival, which this year celebrates its 15th anniversary, attended by the mayor of Culture, Education and Youth, David Martínez Noguera;

and the councilor of the area of ​​Public Services, Citizen Participation and Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba.

Trovalia will be celebrated during its three days of duration from 22 hours in different points of the city with a common denominator: its proximity to the sea.

The second day, which will take place this Friday, August 3, will take place at the Mar de Cristal Sea Promenade, while the third date with poetry will be enjoyed on Isla Plana on Saturday, August 4.

Troubadours, repentistas, musicians and poets populate the streets of the municipality with the aim of continuing to spread among the public the value of the culture of the trovos and promote a point of union between various ways of expressing the Castilian language from improvised poetry.
