The journey towards the salsa of Diego El Cigala' closes the cycle of musical documentary film of La Mar de Músicas (26/07/2018)

Indestructible, the soul of salsa, the first full-length documentary by David Pareja, is a visual journey through the history of salsa, from its beginnings until the moment when Diego 'El Cigala' made it his own creating a unique and unrepeatable event .

The flamenco cantaor, accompanied by the great living myths of salsa, travels from Colombia to New York, passing through Cuba, Puerto Rico, Madrid, the Dominican Republic or Miami, ready to rumble the brass and drums, and to give the battle once more .

With Indestructible, the musical documentary film series of La Mar de Músicas is closed.

The screening, this Friday, July 27 at 12:00, in the New Theater Circus of Cartagena.

With 'Lágrimas Negras', Diego El Cigala not only brought bolero back to the world stage, but opened the door to a new world of collaboration and fusion between flamenco and Latin music.

What he had achieved was something more than a personal and extraordinary interpretation of a music half abandoned by the public;

What he had achieved was that his proposal was followed with passion by Flemish and Latin fans, but also by hundreds of thousands of people who did not respond to any of the previous labels.

The door was open, and at that moment, Diego's wife, Amparo, had the vision to imagine what the talent of El Cigala would be able to achieve with a music that had also conquered the world in its day, and that now seemed relegated to the Latin audience, salsa.

That push Amparo was the trigger, the impetus for Diego to delude himself with a new adventure, more ambitious if possible than Lágrimas Negras.

Fate wanted Amparo could not see his dream fulfilled;

He died before seeing how he got up.

This is the story of a trip that is born of a promise and a love, that of Diego el Cigala for Amparo.
