Municipal Services out to contract the maintenance of infrastructure of the neighborhood committees in seven lots worth 440,000 euros (25/07/2018)

The Municipal Services Area of ​​the City of Cartagena, directed by Juan Pedro Torralba, has tendered the maintenance of buildings and infrastructure of the neighborhood councils, including asphalting and lighting, in seven different lots worth 440,000 euros.

These lots have already been awarded and are divided by districts.

The first corresponds to district 1, which includes Molinos Marfagones, Perín and Isla Plana and Azohía, for a value of 93,634, 38 euros.

The second, of district 2, includes El Albujón, La Aljorra and Pozo Estrecho, for an amount of 70,608.09.

The third, from District 3, includes Los Dolores and has an amount of 58,108.09.

District 4 has a budget of 62,432.36 euros, while 5, which includes Alumbres, is endowed with 33,608.08 euros;

the 6, with La Palma, La Puebla and La Aparecida, with 35.609 euros;

and the 7, which includes El Llano del Beal, El Algar and El Rincon de San Ginés, is endowed with 86,000 euros.

All the lots include the areas that are not part of the neighborhood councils but that are included in the districts in which the municipality is divided.

The objective of this investment is to guarantee that the maintenance of buildings, as well as the asphalting of neighborhoods and councils or the improvement of public lighting elements, among other actions, can be carried out guaranteeing the permanent availability of its elements with the projected level of benefits and a correct cost of exploitation.

To guarantee the correct operation, the service will have the management and supervision of three municipal technicians and three inspectors.

The councilman of the Municipal Services Area, Juan Pedro Torralba, met yesterday with the presidents and members of the neighborhood councils to explain how the bidding of these lots was going, which has already ended, as well as the benefits that they represent "since they make costs

United can do more with less, "said the mayor.

In this meeting they were also informed about the procedure they must follow to get an efficient management of this service as a novelty integrates the direct participation of citizens, who may make notices in the decentralized offices of the municipality (OMITAS) which will be transferred later to the corresponding Neighborhood Boards.
