The Film Sea will bring to Cartagena a selection of the best contemporary Danish cinnamatography (16/07/2018)

The Sea of ​​Music makes a special Denmark that will focus not only its musical programming, but also its parallel activities, including cinema.

Ten Danish films will star in the cycle "Contemporary Danish Cinema;

beyond Lars Von Trier "that the festival has prepared for La Mar de Cine.

Films by Thomas Vinterberg, Lisa Ohlin, Frederikke Aspöck, Tobias Lindholm, Michael Noer, Sunner Bier, Pernille Fischer Christensen, Bille August and Martin Zandvliet.

The festival also has five musical documentaries of essential musicians in global music such as Chavela Vargas, Totó la Momposina, Diego el Cigala or Vinicius de Moraes.

The screenings will start on July 23 with two films directed by the legendary Thomas Vinterberg, known as producer, director and screenwriter, but also as part of the film movement Dogma 95 and winner of a Golden Bear in Berlin and many other recognitions in Cannes.

Under the sand, by director Martin Zandvliet, was considered the best Danish film in 2015 and served to show the mistreatment inflicted on German prisoners in Denmark after the end of World War II.

The Sea of ​​Music began last year, within its section of cinema, with a series of documentary musical films for the mornings of the festival.
