Agents of the Local Police of Cartagena of the Quality of Life unit confiscated 223 presumably falsified products during the morning of Monday, July 9 in a fishing gear store, located in Cabo de Palos.
The confiscation is the result of a process of investigation, carried out by the agents, after intercepting in previous days a vehicle "nurse" used to transport the products and supply the sellers, and that was made available to the Civil Guard.
The controlled vehicle led Agents to suspect that the store, located in the port of Cabo de Palos, was possibly being used as a warehouse for counterfeit products.
In collaboration with members of the fishermen's association of Cabo de Palos, it was possible to locate the owner of the warehouse, known fisherman of the brotherhood, who voluntarily allowed the Agents to enter the interior, locating hidden under several fishing nets a large number of packages which mostly contained clothing and sports shoes.
The owner of the warehouse apparently did not know that these products were stored inside, possibly involving a worker who has a key to access it.
After drafting the corresponding judicial proceedings, the confiscated products were stored for further destruction.
