The summer T-LA offers more trips and experiences than last year (03/07/2018)

The Youth Council, through the Alternative Free Time Program, T-LA, has organized 115 activities this summer, 20 more than in the last edition.

The program includes trips, trips, experiences, tourist visits and workshops, aimed at young people between 14 and 35 years old.

The registration period opens today, July 3.

The program was presented on Tuesday, July 3, the Councilor for Youth, David Martinez, accompanied by the head of the leisure program, José María Lloret.

The summer T-LA has a budget of 10,000 euros, and 22 associations and entities have participated in the program.

It is necessary to emphasize between the activities the trips and escapes, that according to has explained the councilman of Youth "are those that more acceptance always have".

The trips available to young people are to Cantabria, Cástulo, Camino de Santiago, Tabarca Island, Fomentera Island, getaway to Segovia and Avila, as well as another hiking and culture getaway by Úbeda and Baeza.

Martínez has also detailed that the summer training offer consists of 7 courses and workshops related to illustration and manga comics;

crafts and recycling;

interpret with quality;

leadership and entrepreneurship;

the clown, a navigator in emotions;

Mar Menor LAB: art and science for a landscape in crisis;

and a drum course with Alex Dumdaca.

The nights of astronomy at the Youth Center of Canteras will also have a special role, counting on collaboration with the astronomical association of Cartagena.

The center will reopen its doors on Friday nights of July 20, August 10 and September 14.

The topics to be discussed will be citizen science, mythology in the heavens and archaeoastronomy in Cartagena.

All these talks are free upon registration.

The Councilor for Youth has also indicated that "as usual on summer nights, we expect nautical activities to be among the most demanded".

For this occasion the program keeps those related to canoeing, rowing, water skiing, wakeboarding, coastering, whale watching and excursions and panoramic boat trips to Isla Grosa and Mar Menor Islands, among many other activities that can be consulted in the program complete of T-LA that accompanies this information.

Also included in the program Cabo de Pop, the festival of music, leisure and culture to celebrate on 17 and 18 August in Cabo de Palos.

With the performance of a number of musical groups.

For those who love aquatic attractions, on Sunday, July 29, a visit to the largest water park in Europe, the Aquarium Aqualandia de Benidor Park, has been scheduled.

This year the field of work will focus on the recovery and promotion of the archaeological heritage of the city, highlighting the excavation and cleaning at the Cueva Victoria mine, archaeological museum, workshops, lectures and a wide range of leisure activities.

In this volunteer field 25 young people from different localities of Spain will participate, meeting in Cartagena from July 16 to 28.

SPRING T-LA

The T-LA of this spring 2018 developed 94 activities, for which a total of 10,000 euros were invested and in whose organization it had the support of 28 associations and youth groups.

3,160 people participated in the activities that made up the program, of which 586 correspond to the activities of April, 756 to May and 1070 to June, in addition to the 104 young people who have participated in activities related to travel and excursions, 193 in the workshops and training courses, 68 in cooking workshops, 120 in the escape games and 263 in the 'Youth Resource Nights' program.

The leading activities in participation have been the getaway to Sierra Nevada and visit the Canelobre Caves.

Also activities related to adventure and sports such as: horseback riding, climbing, rowing initiation, canoeing and bicycle routes had a high participation rate.

The T-LA program in collaboration with the rooms Enigroom, Escape, Insitu and Mysterium, subsidized a bonus of 10 sessions per room to participate in the different challenges 'Operation Siberia', 'Reto Nautilus', 'The Mansion' and 'Slaughterhouse' .

These bonuses ran out in less than a week.

Finally, highlight the success of the program 'The Nights of Youth Resources' where the activities of cooking, capoeira, laughter therapy, challenge of the 3 boxes and the flamenco cajón workshop were the most demanded.
