The mayor and president of the Commission for Economic Development and Employment of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, Ana Belén Castejón, has proposed that the next meeting of this body, attended by the mayors of 25 municipalities in practically all of Spain , is celebrated in Cartagena.

The meeting will take place on September 28, coinciding with the festive Friday of Carthaginians and Romans, with the aim of promoting our parties.

Castejón participated this morning in the Employment Committee of the FEMP, which reported on the meetings of the Sectoral Conferences on Employment and Labor Matters, which brings together the Ministry with the autonomous communities, and in which the FEMP is represented. through the Subdirectorate of Innovation and Growth.

After the meeting, the mayor explained that the City of Cartagena is waiting for the convocation of the Operational Program of Inclusion and Social Economy (POISES) for this year.

"It is a program that aims to improve social inclusion and the reduction of unemployment, working the social economy, so we are waiting for you to open this year's call to present us, just as we have opted for the Employment, Training and Education operational program (POEFE), to which we have presented the Aire project, valued at almost 3 million euros, "recalled Castejón.

During the commission, the signing of a framework agreement for collaboration between the FEMP and the ONCE Foundation on universal accessibility has been reported, in order to guarantee this right to all citizens, as well as to promote and guarantee equality of citizenship. access to employment for people with disabilities.

Agreement that was signed on April 23 and aims to promote the employment of people with disabilities in the labor market.

Finally, in relation to the Continuing Education Plan of the FEMP, two training actions have been presented, one related to the Employment Plans from the Local Entities, and the other to the Spanish Strategy for Activation for Employment 2017-2020.
