The Department of Social Services, through the Unit for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities, has launched the Summer School, aimed at older people, which will run from 2 to 13 July, from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 12:30 am, in the building of La Milagrosa.
With this initiative, it is intended to offer to the elderly, who do not have the opportunity to travel to summer areas, meeting spaces where they will develop activities, appropriate to their demands and needs, where guidelines aimed at healthy aging will be offered.
In this tenth edition, very varied activities have been programmed, which will be carried out by professionals of this Department, as well as by other professionals who have been teaching workshops in this unit, throughout the course.
There will be talks, video forum and diversity of workshops such as: laughter therapy, tai-chi and relaxation, modeling, crafts, etc.
The inscriptions can be carried out in person, by telephone or by e-mail in the Office of attention to the elderly and people with disabilities, until the day of the start of the School.
