La Mar Chica, children's section of La Mar de Músicas, presents a complete program of free activities with music and workshops (21/06/2018)

A careful selection of musical bands dedicated to entertaining the youngest forms the program of La Mar Chica this year.

Fuman Musicologist, Karmacadabra and Don Fluor disembark at the XXIV edition of La Mar de Músicas to fill the Plaza de San Francisco with music and fun.

The musicians will awaken in the children the sensitivity for music.

The children's program is completed with an interesting proposal of participatory workshops that will make a nod to the culture of the guest country, Denmark.

The music will start on Tuesday 24 at 20:30 with the performance of juggler Fuman Musicologist, an unusual clown, eccentric and investigator who with his huge shoes, tricks and jokes will surprise playing a battery built by himself.

Fuman Musicologist went viral a couple of years ago with a video that saw more than thirteen million people and that has earned him worldwide recognition and has allowed him to take his art from the streets to the stage.

On Wednesday 25, also in the Plaza de San Francisco in Cartagena, the public can enjoy the show "No hay color" by Karmacadabra, a show aimed at the whole family in which a tour of the music that inspires this young man is made Cartagena group.

Multiculturalism and mixing will come together in a concert in which reggae, flamenco, ska and mestizo music come together to entertain, enjoy and offer a didactic approach that brings the youngest to their first experiences with live music.

The musical appointments of La Mar Chica will close on July 26 with the performance of Don Flúor.

This DJ and musical producer based in Murcia will perform a reinvention exercise in which to show the little ones the electronic music from an accessible and fun perspective.

Don Fluor mixes hymns of past and present generations with current bases, getting risky, fun and danceable sessions from the first minute.

As for the training activities, the La Mar Chica workshops will be held from July 23 to 26.

To attend, prior registration is necessary.

The term begins on June 25 at 09:00 hours.

The workshops have between 15 and 30 places and are intended for children between 8 and 15 years, depending on the workshop.

The Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center will host four of the seven workshops from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Marisa López Soria, author of Children's and Young People's Literature, will be the host of the Danish Games and Stories Workshop, which will allow the guest country to be better known by recreating the common games that it shares with Spanish culture and those that differentiate it to find a point of Union.

They will be games that include songs and stories from all times of authors known here as Andersen and less known as Ole Lund Kirkegaard, very popular in Denmark.

In the Percussion Workshop the popular and traditional Danish song will be worked through rhythmic percussion instruments and melodic instruments such as Orff xylophones.

Juan Hermosilla will lead this group of small percussionists.

The Hygge Craft Workshop will be a journey through Danish crafts to learn about its peaceful and supportive Hygge culture.

Through drawing, painting and the use of wool, porcelain and ceramics students will learn about the history of creation in Denmark and will work with ornamental motifs that range from traditional to modern design.

Nati Serrano will be in charge of guiding the children on this trip.

Following this spirit one of the workshops of La Mar Chica is dedicated to take advantage of all those LEGO pieces that remain "lame" to make new creations in the form of nice jewels and key rings.

Region of Murcia Clean will be responsible for guiding this Jewelery Workshop through LEGO pieces.

The El Batel Auditorium will be the setting for the Taller Dulce Dinamarca, where you will delve into the Danish pastry tradition.

Fruit cakes, braids, soletillas and the most popular snack, the delicious scones known as "Danish pastries" will be cooked by working the ingredients and knowing the gastronomic culture of Denmark at the hand of Isabel Ruiz.

The R + D + I Building of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, co-organizer of these workshops, will host the most technological workshops.

The Little Mermaid Workshop of Denmark with new technologies is inspired by the most emblematic sculpture of the invited country.

From a first sculpture drawn or modeled by the students, some of the designs will be reproduced using laser scanning and cutting techniques and the usefulness of these new technologies will be verified as tools for creative development.

The workshop will be given by Lola Ojados González and Héctor Flores Aparicio, both staff of the SAIT Support Service for Technological Research with the collaboration of the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCCi) of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

Álvaro Macián Morales and Gustavo Adolfo Salcedo Eugenio, of the Unit of Scientific Culture and Innovation of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, will be in charge of teaching the Music Workshop in virtual reality.

A workshop where the participants can play instruments such as those used by the artists of La Mar de Músicas and then see the results in 360º and in the form of a hologram.

Online registration on the website of the Popular University, co-organizer of children's workshops, from June 25 at 09:00 h.
