UPCT professor Carmelo Reverte has been awarded at the national level (15/06/2018)

Carmelo Reverte, director of the Department of Financial Economics and Accounting of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), has been awarded at the national level in the XXIV Edition of the AECA Awards for Articles on Accounting and Business Administration with a second prize, endowed economically with 750 euros, for his work entitled 'Closing the circle of sustainability and non-financial reporting: the circular economy and the Integrated Report'.

The European Commission, through the Circular Economy Action Plan, has recently adopted an ambitious package of new measures to help European businesses and consumers in the transition to a more sustainable economy, explains Reverte.

His work analyzes the important boom of the circular economy and its impact on the way in which companies have to disclose their economic and financial information, for which the so-called Integrated Report, which combines the traditional information from a holistic perspective, is of special significance. economic-financial with that related to social and environmental aspects.

Professor Reverte picked up his award at the Club Financiero Génova in Madrid.
