The staff of the animal and private protectors will learn about'rescate en positivo' (11/06/2018)

Volunteers and animal protection workers can receive theoretical and practical training this Saturday June 16 from 10 am entitled "Rescuing in positive", in which attendees will have the opportunity to know the main ethological rules to have in account at the time of rescuing a dog, transport it and lodge it in the space destined for such question.

The conference, which will take place at the local Galifa Neighborhood Association, has been organized by the Federation of Association of Animal Protectors of the Region of Murcia (ANIMUR), with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena and the Galifa City Council , as well as by Knet Canine Education.

The mayor of the area of ​​Quality of Life and Welfare, Obdulia Gómez, who has been accompanied by the president of ANIMUR, Esperanza García, attended the presentation ceremony;

and the secretary, Cristina Zaragoza.

The days will be taught by Alfredo Canet de Knet Canine Education in Positive.

The councilor has indicated that they will also address issues such as communication, balance and emotional support so that the dog can be rehabilitated and later adopted by a family.

Likewise, Gómez has highlighted the need to respect the identity and nature of the dog, as well as its needs through a free work of aversive methods or punishments;

and has warned of the importance that the people who handle these situations have a minimum theoretical-practical training in canine behavior.

For its part, Zaragoza has pointed out that the day is directed not only to personal protective, but also to individuals who rescue animals and has added that in this training will be offered some guidelines of how the animal acts, what to do if the animal It is fearful and the protocol to follow to facilitate your entry into a shelter or an animal shelter.

The councilor has taken advantage of his speech to point out that from the City of Cartagena, through the Local Police, has launched a campaign to control the behavior of the owners of dogs with their animals;

and that in the next months a campaign of vaccination and microchip will be activated and another against animal abandonment.
