The Association of Relatives and Patients of Alzheimer of Cartagena and Region, AFAL, has received a grant of 25,767 from the Federation of Associations of Alzheimer's Patients of the Region of Murcia, FFEDARM, to carry out the physiotherapy program offered by the NGO the users.
The aid is the result of the agreement signed between Afal and FFEDARM and covers ten percent of the total investment that the local association allocates to the assistance of physiotherapists both in the center and at home to people with Alzheimer's disease, according to the manager. of Afal, Raúl Nieto.
The Ministry of Health, through the Murcia Health Service has granted a grant of 133,000 euros to FFEDARM, amount collected in the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, which in turn divided between seven regional associations.
Currently, Afal has five physiotherapists on staff who perform their work individually and in groups to more than 150 users.
