CTSSP will present a battery of initiatives to protect Calblanque (18/05/2018)

Together with the Regional Deputy, María Giménez, CTSSP has visited the Regional Park of Calblanque and has met with the neighbors of Cobaticas.

After taking note of the local demands and check in situ much of the obvious problems that this emblematic area of the municipality suffers, the municipal group of PODEMOS announced a series of initiatives, among which stand out the request of major forest agents, the demolition of housing in ruins (containing asbestos) and the ordering of agriculture according to the Law of Urgent Measures of the Mar Menor approved in the Assembly.

Pilar Marcos has denounced that, "in addition to the shameful situation of the Los Chaparros site and the project to place a WiFi antenna inside the park, we have verified that there are many things to improve and correct: among others, it stands out that the City Council has not ordered the demolition of houses in ruins and dangerous in Cobaticas that have already been denounced or that the intensive agriculture that is practiced inside the park violates the recently approved regulations, since the clearings as they are favor that the Mar Menor continues to receive, through the runoff, the residues of agriculture. "

Also, the purple formation will request the increase of personnel of vigilance, like the forest agents, and that the dates for the restrictions to the rodado traffic are extended, since this one deteriorates remarkably the natural ecosystem, in particular the flora and the protected fauna.

For these same reasons, CTSSP announced that it will make numerous additional proposals to guarantee the effective protection of the park, ranging from the installation of speed reducers on the roads to the approval of pending plans, such as the Master Plan for Uses and Management (PRUG). or the Public Use Plan (PUP).

Of these proposals and others that will continue advancing, the purple formation hopes to guarantee the integral protection of one of the natural jewels of the Region, which lately is constantly threatened in its balance both by the situation of the Mar Menor and by short-term policies and predators of the Popular Party.
