Marchamujer destined its collection to the Association of Affected by the Sindrome Delecion 1p36 (10/05/2018)

The new edition of the sports and solidarity career MarchaMujer, organized by the Department of Equality of the City of Cartagena, is ready.

It will take place on Thursday, May 24 and will allocate all the proceeds to the Association of those affected by the Sindrome Deleción 1p36.

The mayor of Cartagena and councilor of Equality, Ana Belén Castejón, together with María Esther López, member of the Association of Affected Delegates 1p36, and the poster designer, the artist from Cartagena Clara Ledo, have appeared before the media to offer all the details of this event.

The participants in MarchaMujer will make a walking march from the Plaza de España, which will start at 10:00 am and will go through the Alameda de San Antón, Sebastian Ferigán Street and the Tentegorra Road, to finish at the Rafael de la Cerda Park, where you will enjoy a conviviality with various activities.

The mayor of Cartagena and Councilor for Equality, Ana Belén Castejón, thanked the Commonwealth of the Taibilla Channels to use their facilities for coexistence.

From the park and once the activities, which include a raffle of gifts donated by the collaborators, buses will leave from 6:00 pm to take the participants to the starting point.

To participate in the Women's March, one euro must be contributed, this year the money collected will go to the Association of those affected by the Sindrome Deleción 1p36.

As explained by the member of the Association of Affected Delegates 1p36, María Esther López, this disease is among those considered rare.

From the association, which was born with the union of 5 families, they intend to raise the maximum possible money to allocate it to the investigation of the disease, with the aim that in the future "can answer many questions posed by this disease."

For its part, the author of the poster, Clara Ledo, has expressed her willingness to combine in her work the power of nature and that of women, which is why she has included these two elements in the promotional poster of the march.

The last edition, in 2017, MarchaMujer brought together more than 600 participants and this time it is expected to reach a higher number.

In this race for charitable and solidarity charity purposes, all citizens can participate or collaborate, either by participating in the march and living together or by becoming involved with the donation through the Council of Equality.
