Diplomas for new cooks and waiters of Social Care courses (07/06/2010)

Students in Occupational Training courses waiter and cook, organized by the Municipal Institute of Social Services on Friday received their diplomas from Councillor Care, Antonio Calderon, who was commissioned to chair the closing ceremony in which new professionals were accompanied by their families.

The courses aimed at unemployed, corresponding to the training activities of Cook, who had a duration of 1,045 hours with an academic profile of graduate school or vocational first degree or equivalent, and waiters in restaurants - bar, with 820 teaching hours and the same academic profile.

As with other actions that have been developed along the present course, the aim is to train students to facilitate their employment in various fields of vocational training.

This is the main objective of the Municipal Institute of Social Services, which organizes these actions since 1998, being recognized as a collaborating center of the Regional Employment Service and Training of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.

With all this, the City of Cartagena and the Autonomous Community, want to answer the great demand in the service sector in the Region of Murcia, possible through the necessary training courses for the unemployed of working age and on-demand employment that have not previously received any specific training on these occupations.
