The quintet The Zerillo, in cycle spaces Sound (31/05/2010)

The classical music series Sound Spaces, organized by the Ministry of Culture with the City of Cartagena and others have prepared the quintet's concert Zerillo.

This group will perform on Sunday, June 6, in the courtyard of the Artillery Barracks at 21.00 hours to make a tango by Astor Piazzolla.

Listen to the quintet's Zerillo is the best way to approach the teacher varied repertoire Argentina: Buenos Aires to the rhythms, to the overflowing tide full of debauchery, passion, idealizations, heartache and ultimately, to the magic and essence of the tango.

Astor Piazzolla is considered one of the most important tango musicians of the second half of the twentieth century and hear music in Cartagena program that corresponds to a selection of works from his extensive repertoire for quintet, played by: Eduardo Callejo (classical accordion) Daniel Hurtado (violin), Stephen Dominguez (piano), Guillermo Turina (cello) and Yaiza Prieto (bass), members of The Zerillo.

Sound Spaces cycle will be fired this season in early July with a screening of silent films (Fritz Lang's Metropolis and Charlie Chaplin shorts) with live music by composer Salvador Martínez.

Public spaces will be elected on this occasion the main squares of the three municipalities organizers (Cartagena, Lorca and Caravaca de la Cruz) in which they put the finishing touch to the cycle, which this year takes hold in our region with nearly full house all concerts.

Noted that on the occasion of the concert, the Historical Museum of Artillery Military Park will remain open until 23:30 so that everyone who approaches can explore the collection.

The entrance to the concert is free to fill seats.
