Councillors Education and Social Care, Josefa Calderon Antonio Maroto and have been involved today's closing ceremony of the Municipal Program of Intercultural Education a school open to other cultures, which was held at the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy and that also attended by the Director General of Immigration, Development Cooperation and Volunteerism, Leopoldo Navarro Quiles and general director of Promotion, Management and Educational Innovation, Carlos Romero Gallego.
This program has the participation of 22 schools in Cartagena and has among its objectives to contribute to the development of intercultural awareness in the educational community.
In addition, another objective of the program is education in values of tolerance and mutual solidarity between immigrant students and those in our community.
This course, on the occasion of the interest aroused inter-center experiences reflected in various joint actions, to be held the First Closing of program to bring all participating schools and provide new encounters to achieve common goals.
The closing ceremony has been attended by students and teachers of schools that implement this program where they have shown in an exhibition, the work related to multiculturalism that they have done during this course.
The closure has also had artistic performances, with the students themselves as actors in theatrical performances and music, which have been shown in their centers and collecting cultural diversity of these, the integration and coexistence of the various educational communities.
