The Hydrotherapy III program concluded Friday at the Hotel de Entremares of the Manga del Mar Menor.
Ten turns in total have enjoyed this activity, which began last March and which have involved people aged between 55 and 70 years of age.
The Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena and Spa Hotel Entremares has been assigned to conduct a year this program aimed at improving the quality of life of elderly in the municipality.
The City of Cartagena is the fifteenth in Spain that focuses on the thermal and healthcare services for seniors, joining other parts of the country that have launched this initiative as Madrid, Vizcaya or Fuengirola.
With this commitment, the Council aims to facilitate access to the elderly with activities designed to alleviate pains associated with rheumatism, skin disorders and other diseases.
Activities have included full board, access to the heated pool, two bathrooms in the four Spa Carthaginians, free use of preventive healthcare services in the pool and Thermal Leisure activities, as well as free use of Hotel gym
There have been a total of 10 shifts, 6 days and 5 nights during the months of March, April and May, at subsidized prices that have a substantial discount, in the March 8 turns until mid-May, prices have sudo 149 euros per person per shift, and two shifts of 16 to 28 May, priced at 229 euros.
In total, 150 people participated, representing a substantial increase over the last two editions.
In the first program, 40 people enjoyed the facilities of the hotel, while in the second edition, were about 100 people, leaving demonstrated the success of this action of the City of Cartagena.
