The City acquired the latest in fire fighting vehicles (27/05/2010)

The City of Cartagena has a new fire fighting vehicle, built with the newest materials, which has been released by the Port Authority to Services Fire Fighting and Rescue (SEIS), within the colaboraciónsuscrito agreement 10 years ago by both institutions and cuyarenovación already been approved by governing board, ahoracon a period of 5 years and for which the Port Authority provides 85,000 euros annually for the acquisition of vehicles and 20,000 euros for specific training in firefighting.

In return, the Fire Department is committed to provide port services and fire prevention in the port, and to collaborate in the control of other emergencies, integrated in the Intervention Group under the Emergency Plan of the port as noted Councillor for Citizen Security, Javier Herrero, during the presentation of the new urban pump light.

This new acquisition vehicle, noted for its versatility and functionality, is the first in Spain whose body has been built with a new plastic material called Ecopolyfire, which presents great advantages such as being lighter than other materials commonly employed such as steel and aluminum, and very resistant to shock and high mechanical stress.

In addition, no rust, easily repaired and almost maintenance-free and one hundred percent recyclable.

This new car joins the two previously purchased a trailer fire engine and a training program which involved the majority of staff at the fire station on fire on ships.

A SAFER FIRE TRUCK AND LIGHT

This is a BUL (Pump Urban Light), which as its name suggests is a pumper truck, and water pump, small to intervene in the urban environment, allowing accessibility in historic.
